Lingua is a text-based, universal translator native to Chrome. Powered by GPT-3, this extension supports multiple languages including Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Chinese, and the International Phonetic Alphabet.

To use Lingua, you need to have an OpenAI API key. If you don't have one, you can sign up on the OpenAI website and create a new key. Once you have your API key, you can easily add it to the Chrome extension by visiting the chrome://extensions/ page, clicking on Lingua's "Details" button, and then navigating to "Extension Options". Simply paste your API key into the input box and save it.

Using Lingua is straightforward. Just highlight any text, click on the extension, select the language of the text from the dropdown menu, and click the transcribe button. This makes it an ideal tool for linguists, language learners, and anyone interested in language translation.
